cTrader introduces a partial stop out feature

Spotware Systems, a Cyprus-based financial technology provider, has just added a new trader protection feature to its cTrader trading platform.

With the new Stop Out algorithm, when a trader does not have sufficient funds to maintain his trades, the cTrader platform partially closes positions starting with the largest one (the position that uses the most margin). The goal behind this switch is to offer traders additional protection by letting the remaining positions run to take advantage of a possible market reversal.

Unlike other popular platforms, cTrader's logic does not necessarily target losing positions. For example, the MT4 platform closes the position that is losing the most money when the margin level falls below the Stop Out level, while cTrader partially closes the positions in increments of 1000 units until the free margin is higher than the Stop Out level.
