EUR: the forex may not react much to a victory by Macron in Sunday's French election (ING)

ING believes that Macron's victory in France's presidential election on Sunday, which is widely anticipated, should not have a major impact on the forex.

"Based on the polls, Macron won the presidential debate Wednesday night ahead of the second round of the election this weekend, with 64% of participants considering him more presidential. However, with the wide spread between Macron and Le Pen, and in the absence of a risk premium for the EUR, a likely Macron win should have a very limited impact on the forex."
