Introduction to the Admiral Markets Card
The Admiral Markets Card is an innovative Visa card that you can use to store funds, make and receive payments, and make transfers to other accounts. The card is connected directly to your Admiral Markets account and can be used in both physical and virtual form. It works alongside the Admiral Markets Wallet which you can access from your Traders Room dashboard.
The base currency of the card is the euro with a maximum balance of €12,000 EUR. You can fund your card at any time using any payment method the broker supports.
Additionally, the Admiral Markets Card can be used in online and physical stores, anywhere in the world where Visa is accepted. Thus, it is very convenient and accessible for traders around the world.
The Admiral Markets Card is available to all traders who are at least 18 years old and have European Economic Area residency. The client must pass the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification to get this additional service. Each eligible trader can get a physical card and a virtual card, which work together.
It should be noted that the card is valid for three years from the date of issue. After the expiration date, the card can no longer be used.
The different uses of the Admiral Markets Card
You can use the Admiral Markets Card for many reasons, including:
SEPA transactions. You can make euro payments in the SEPA region to any person or business using their IBAN number.
Invest funds in your trading account. Any transfer made from the card is instant, allowing you to easily invest in any instrument available
Authorise transactions from any merchant that accepts Visa debit card payments. This includes chip and pin card payments, magnetic stripe card payments, contactless payments, internet payments, mail payments, e-wallet payments and telephone payments.
Cash withdrawal at an ATM. Withdraw cash from any ATM displaying the Visa logo.
How to get started with the Admiral Markets Card
The easiest way to get your hands on the Admiral Markets card is to request the virtual card form. Keep in mind that before applying, you must first have gone through the full KYC verification process.
In particular, you must provide an identity document and proof of address. Once you have completed this important step, you can move on to the next steps:
1 - Visit the Admiral Markets website and login to your trading room dashboard.
2 - Locate the Map module, then click on "Get map".
3 - Before you can generate the card, you must first make a deposit using any method available on the platform, such as your existing credit card, wire transfer, Skrill, or Admiral Markets Wallet.
4 - You will also need to create a PIN to access your card and make ATM withdrawals.
5 - Your Admiral Markets virtual card is ready to use! You can use and access it at any time from your dashboard.
Although the virtual card is useful enough to carry out transactions, you may want to obtain a physical card for greater convenience. To obtain your physical card, you can follow the steps below:
1 - Open your trading room, then select the Card module.
2 - Apply for your Admiral Markets physical card.
3 - Enter your physical address and other details. Be sure to check the delivery address to avoid any problems.
4 - As soon as you receive the physical card, sign the signature strip on the back of the card.
5 - Next, activate the card by logging into your account or by sending an email to Admirals's customer service department. Note that the card must be activated within three months, otherwise it will be automatically cancelled.
Remember that you will have to pay a card fee of EUR 10 (it's free for wallets over €5,000!) for the actual physical card. The issued card will be delivered within 10 working days.
