Today once again features a light economic calendar. Traders should especially monitor the U.S. statistics, which have a significant influence on the forex and the EUR/USD pair.

14:30: Unemployment claims are the most important statistic of the day. The consensus anticipates 350K compared with 346K previously.

14:30: They will be complemented by ongoing unemployment compensation claims against 3,075K compared with 3,079K last time.

16:00: We will later have the Fed's Philadelphia Manufacturing Index, estimated at 3.0 compared with 2.0.
